The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) has called on the Federal Government to prioritize infrastructure development in the South-South region, particularly the rehabilitation and expansion of the road network in the Niger Delta, which it describes as a national emergency. In a statement signed by National Chairman Ambassador Godknows Igali to mark Nigeria's 66th Independence Anniversary, PANDEF also urged greater attention to environmental remediation in the region. The forum hailed South-South governors for their efforts in infrastructure and human development, and congratulated Nigeria and President Tinubu on the anniversary.
