The Federal Government has stated that artificial intelligence and other technologies will not replace Nigerian teachers. The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, made this known during the 2026 World Teachers' Day and the President's Teachers' and Schools' Excellence Awards in Abuja. He emphasized that human judgement, encouragement, and personal connection provided by educators remain indispensable to effective learning.
