The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that nationwide collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) will begin on Friday, October 9, 2026. INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, made the announcement on Monday during a strategic workshop for media executives. The workshop was organized by INEC in collaboration with Development Alternatives Incorporated and the Nigerian Guild of Editors. The PVC collection is part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
