Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu has inspected the scene of a tanker crash at Odukpani and a landslide along Anansa Street in Calabar. The governor said the magnitude of the landslide required coordinated intervention beyond the capacity of the state government, and he sought wider Federal Government intervention. At the Odukpani tanker crash scene, he commended the local government chairman, stakeholders and residents for their prompt response. He also sympathised with shop owners whose businesses were affected by the tanker fire.
