An 18-year-old Nigerian-German entrepreneur, Georgia Oviesu, has developed an offline rescue app called SafeLink. The app is designed to enable users to send distress messages without internet connectivity, providing real-time information about kidnappings or terrorist attacks to users and security agencies. Oviesu unveiled the app in Lagos with a live demonstration. She created it to address the gap between security emergencies and rescue arrival.
