The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reported a decline in its Federation receivables to ₦11.2 trillion, according to its latest accounts. The figures show that other receivables from the Federation increased to ₦11.2 trillion from ₦8.84 trillion. The change was attributed to energy security costs offsetting the amounts owed. The accounts provide an update on the financial position of the national oil company in relation to the Federation.
