58 deregistered parties endorse Tinubu, Aliyu

The Association of Deregistered Political Parties in Sokoto State, comprising 58 former political parties, has declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu ahead of the 2027 general elections. The declaration was made at a press conference along Bodinga Road in Sokoto, with the association saying the decision followed an assessment of the policies, programmes and development initiatives of both administrations. Chairman Ahmed Ja'o said members reviewed the Sokoto State Government's performance over the past three years and concluded that Aliyu deserved another term to consolidate the administration's programmes. He cited interventions in infrastructure, rural development, workers' welfare and religious affairs among the considerations.
