A prosecution witness brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) testified that he received approximately N700 million from Gassol Local Government into his company's account between 2019 and 2021. The witness made the disclosure during a trial related to the alleged diversion of local government subventions during the tenure of former Governor Ishaku of Taraba State. The case is ongoing.
