Operatives of the Kwara State Police Command arrested a suspected gunrunner during a stop-and-search operation along the Alapa–Okolowo axis of Ilorin. The interception led to the recovery of two serviceable AK-47 rifles, three magazines, and 42 rounds of live ammunition from the suspect. The suspect was traveling in a commercial vehicle at the time of the arrest. The police have not disclosed further details about the suspect or the circumstances leading to the operation.
