The House of Representatives has issued a 7-day ultimatum to the Programme Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HyPREP) to appear before its Public Accounts Committee. The summons relates to allegations of mismanagement of over N400 billion in the 2021 and 2024 audit reports from the Office of the Auditor General. The coordinator is required to provide explanations regarding the audit queries. The House is probing the Ogoni clean-up project over these financial irregularities.
