About 10,700 civil servants in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) have started the 2026 promotion examination. The exercise, organized by the FCT Civil Service Commission, is taking place across designated centres in Abuja and is expected to run through next week. The examination aims to ensure that eligible officers are promoted as and when due and to clear outstanding promotions. The commission is conducting the exercise to address promotion backlogs.
