Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Monday that negotiations with the United States are 'meaningless' and only lead to renewed attacks, according to state media. He said that the US has attacked Iran three times after talks, indicating that their goal is to overthrow the Islamic Republic. Pezeshkian added that with an enemy that resorts to assassination, sanctions, pressure, and threats, and breaks commitments, negotiations are meaningless. The Middle East war began in late February when the US and Israel launched surprise attacks on Iran while negotiations on Iran's nuclear programme were ongoing.
