The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored the 330kV Kainji–Birnin Kebbi Single Circuit Transmission Line after it was taken out of service following the collapse of Tower 367 on September 7, 2026. The restoration involved erecting an Emergency Restoration System (ERS) tower at the tower location in Yauri. TCN engineers worked round the clock to dismantle the collapsed tower, align conductors and skywire, and complete other associated works to safely return the line to service. The company appreciated the patience of electricity consumers in affected areas during the outage.
