The Nigerian Navy has commissioned a newly constructed Dental Clinic and Heart-to-Heart Centre at the Ikate Primary Health Centre in Ikate-Elegushi, Lagos, to improve access to essential healthcare services. The facilities were built under the Chief of the Naval Staff Special Intervention Quick Impact Project Scheme in honour of retired Rear Admiral Olusegun Ferreira, a native of the community. The commissioning ceremony on Wednesday was attended by senior naval officers, Lagos State Government representatives, traditional rulers, and community leaders. The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, said the intervention reflects the Navy's commitment to civil-military cooperation and community development.
