Stakeholders demand tougher enforcement, regular inspections to halt building collapse

Built-environment stakeholders have called for stricter enforcement of construction standards and regular building inspections in Lagos State to prevent further tragedies. The call followed the June 25 collapse of a four-storey building at Alakija, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, which claimed eight lives. The stakeholders made the demand at a conference organized by the Building Collapse Prevention Guild.
