Kelechi Iheanacho is returning to the Super Eagles after over 16 months absence and has expressed his continued passion for representing Nigeria. The Bursaspor forward, who last played for the team at the 2025 Unity Cup final against Jamaica, was selected by Coach Eric Chelle for the friendly against Russia. Iheanacho dismissed critics and reaffirmed his commitment to wearing Nigerian colors at any level.
