With 100 days until the 2027 general election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is intensifying preparations. The commission reports that the voter register has exceeded 103 million, and nationwide collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) is scheduled to begin on October 9. INEC has also acquired 57,000 new Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines to enhance the electoral process.
