The National Peace Committee (NPC) has recorded 60 violations of the 2027 National Peace Accord within one month of its signing. In a statement issued in Abuja, NPC Chairman Gen. Abdulsalami A. Abubakar (rtd) and Convener Most Rev. Dr Matthew Hassan Kukah warned that these breaches threaten political participation and erode public trust. Data from the NPC's Election Security Information Hub shows that misinformation and disinformation accounted for 40 per cent of violations, followed by attacks on political activities and assets at 21.7 per cent, and political intimidation at 16.7 per cent.
