The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, has announced that prices of essential food commodities have dropped by up to 50 per cent compared to pre-2023 levels. Kyari made the disclosure in Maiduguri during the opening address of the Community of Practice Meeting of Commissioners for Agriculture, Health, Environment, and Rural Development. The event was organised by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in collaboration with the Borno State Government and supported by the German government. The theme of the summit was 'Stronger Partnerships for a Food Secure Nigeria.'
