Suspected bandits have killed two people, including a student of Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto, and abducted some passengers after attacking a Golf vehicle travelling from Goronyo to Sokoto. The attack occurred in the early hours of Monday at Hawan Ado, with the vehicle carrying 12 passengers. A resident of Bijeje said residents heard gunshots and went out with local guns to protect the community. The bandits shot the driver and a passenger when the driver refused to stop, causing the vehicle to veer off the road, allowing some passengers to escape while others were abducted.
