Governor Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has described how naval personnel and residents attempted to rescue victims of a military aircraft crash. According to the governor, Nigerian Navy personnel initially stayed back to prevent an explosion or fire outbreak, but moved in to rescue people when no fire was detected. Local emergency management agency officials and residents also joined the rescue efforts.
