2027: ADC dismisses The Economist’s report on Tinubu as ‘poor journalism’

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed a recent report by The Economist on President Bola Tinubu's chances in the 2027 presidential election as "poor journalism." ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi, in an interview with Trust TV, criticized the report for elevating a news story to the level of an electoral projection. He argued that the fact that a report was published by The Economist does not automatically make its conclusion credible, accusing the publication of committing an appeal to authority fallacy. Abdullahi stated that he read the story and considered it poor journalism.
