The mutilated corpse of an unidentified man was discovered behind the Monday Market in Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State on Tuesday morning. According to a community source, the body was found by community members, who alerted security operatives that arrived to evacuate it. The discovery drew concerned residents to the General Hospital, Pankshin, where efforts to identify the deceased were made. A community source, Panshak Rogo, said the identity of the deceased was yet to be established because some sensitive organs, including his ears and nose, had been removed.
