The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed condolences to Nigeria over a Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State. The ministry stated it was deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the crash that occurred on October 5. The aircraft, with tail number NGR 931, was flying from Benin City to Lagos when it disappeared from radar at about 9:13 a.m. on Monday and crashed near the Igbokoda Naval Base in Ilaje Local Government Area. According to NAF spokesman Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the aircraft carried 25 people, including five crew members and 20 passengers.
