Sub-Saharan Africa's economy is projected to grow from 4.1% in 2025 to 4.3% in 2026, according to the World Bank's Africa Economic Update. The growth is attributed to improved macroeconomic resilience, stronger domestic demand, and investments in energy transition and digital technologies. However, challenges such as conflict, trade policy uncertainty, and climate shocks continue to affect the region, and growth remains insufficient to significantly reduce extreme poverty or create enough jobs.
