Prof. Nnamdi Dike Umeoduag, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Tansian University in Anambra State, has died at the age of 44. The professor of Microbiology reportedly died in the early hours of Friday. He previously served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the university and was a former member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, representing Aguata 1 Constituency. The institution's Registrar, Rev. Denekent Anthony Uke, clarified that reports suggesting Umeoduagu served as Acting Vice-Chancellor for only two days were inaccurate, stating he had been formally authorised to act well before his death.
