The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Justice Peter Odolifu, has dismissed a suit seeking to stop the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission (KWASIEC) from conducting local government elections in Kwara State. The court ruled that the suit was statute-barred and an abuse of the judicial process. The dismissal clears the way for KWASIEC to proceed with the elections.
