Bayelsa PDP Promises Non-Violent, Issued-Based Campaigns, Releases Timetable

The Bayelsa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released its campaign schedule ahead of the 2027 general election, promising non-violent and issue-based campaigns. According to a statement by State Publicity Secretary Hon. Ikaebimo Mark, the programme includes statutory party meetings, pre-campaign activities, senatorial district flag-offs, LGA-to-LGA campaigns, and ward-to-ward mobilisation across the state's 105 wards. Pre-campaign activities will begin with meetings of the state working committee, expanded state caucus, and state executive committee from October 26 to 28, 2026, followed by a three-day fasting and prayer session from November 5 to 7. A campaign dedication and thanksgiving service is set for November 8, with the inauguration of the state campaign council on November 9.
