The Ondo State Government has deployed medical personnel and ambulances to the site of a Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government. The aircraft, marked NAF-931 with 25 people on board, plunged into a swampy area near the Naval Base in Igbokoda on Monday. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Banji Ajaka, said in a statement on Tuesday in Akure that the ambulances were deployed from hospitals in Ilaje and Okitipupa Local Government areas on the directive of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Ajaka said medical teams were on alert while military personnel and other emergency responders continued recovery operations, and that specialised equipment, including swamp buggies, had been deployed. He urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information about the incident.
