The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has cancelled the licences of six private waste companies due to poor service. The action followed complaints about inadequate waste collection in parts of Lagos. LAWMA announced the cancellation as part of efforts to improve waste management services in the state. The affected companies have not yet responded to the development.
