Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, the Inspector General of Police, and other stakeholders have expressed support for the establishment of state police in Abuja. They said the proposed reform should be judged by whether it improves the everyday experience of Nigerians seeking protection. The stakeholders drummed up support for the initiative at a gathering in the capital.
