Jubilation as troops neutralise ISWAP commander, many terrorists planning attack

Nigerians have commended troops following the neutralization of a senior Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) commander and many terrorists who were planning an attack. The commander, identified as Abdussamad Ohida, also known as Anwar, was killed in a forest around Owo, Ondo State, during a covert operation by troops and other security forces. Ohida was said to have masterminded several attacks, including the Kuje Correctional Centre attack in Abuja in July. Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas, praised President Bola Tinubu and the military high command for establishing the 10 Division of the Nigerian Army in the state.
