The Ondo Community Connect (OCC) has launched BTO CARES, an initiative to provide direct support to vulnerable residents in Ondo State, especially students and artisans. The launch took place in Akure, the state capital, on Thursday, with the aim of bridging the development gap. Mrs. Iretidola Akinrowo Ojekhoa, Coordinator of BTO CARES, said the programme puts people at the centre of development. She noted that the sponsor, Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, had facilitated infrastructure projects such as transformers, boreholes, solar lights, schools, and clinics, but added that infrastructure alone cannot address every challenge.
