PenCom commits $250m infrastructure investment

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has announced a $250 million commitment by Nigeria's pension industry to infrastructure investment over the next 10 years. PenCom Director-General Omolola Oloworaran disclosed this at the commission's 2026 media conference in Lagos. Monthly pension payments have increased to N14.83 billion from N12.15 billion, benefiting over 241,000 retirees. Pension fund operators have committed $200 million as anchor investment, with an additional $50 million being sought from development finance institutions.
