The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, in collaboration with the Lands Commission and Office of the Administrator of Stoolands (OASL), has commenced a comprehensive review of the 1999 National Land Policy. The review aims to develop a new policy framework to address the country's changing land administration and development needs. A two-day inception workshop was addressed by Deputy Minister Hon. Yusif Sulemana, who noted that the 1999 policy emerged from extensive consultations and has provided a foundation for land administration reforms. He cited the enactment of the Land Act, 2020 (Act 1036) as a major achievement.
