The Nigerian Ports Economic Regulatory Agency (NPERA), formerly known as the Nigerian Shippers' Council (NSC), has disclosed that under its new mandate it is empowered to harmonise charges at the ports. The agency said this would reduce the cost of doing business at the country's most important entry and exit points. The disclosure was made at a sensitisation programme for exporters.
