The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will hear Senegal's appeal against the decision to strip them of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations title and award it to Morocco. The hearing, scheduled for Thursday in Lausanne, will involve arguments from Senegal, Morocco, and the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Senegal is seeking to be reinstated as champions after CAF's Appeal Board overturned their 1-0 victory in January's final. The original match, held in Rabat, saw Senegal defeat Morocco 1-0 after extra time, but the result was annulled after CAF ruled that Senegal had forfeited by leaving the pitch without the referee's authorization, an incident that occurred late in regulation time following a penalty awarded against Senegal, with players walking off for about 14 minutes.
