Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, has reassured the public that the country is not experiencing an Ebola outbreak, following the confirmation of one imported case from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The patient died on 6 October 2026. Health authorities have identified 57 contacts linked to the case, with 10 placed under quarantine at the National Police Service Hospital in Nairobi. The Cabinet Secretary reviewed the country's capacity to isolate and manage cases at five designated facilities, including Kenyatta National Hospital, Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, National Police Service Hospital, Port Reitz Hospital, and Nairobi Hospital.
