Lawal Daura, vice-presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), has warned that attempts to rig the 2027 elections will be resisted. Speaking at the launch of the Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation’s national campaign management committee, he said those plotting to rig the elections “have a surprise coming.” Daura, a former Director-General of the Department of State Services, noted that Nigeria’s registered voters have surpassed 100 million, a significant figure for the 2027 elections.
