Getafe president Ángel Torres has said that a proposed deal for former Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal has broken down. Torres had previously told DAZN that the club was working on a deal for the 34-year-old defender, who is without a club since his Real Madrid contract expired in June. However, he later changed his position, stating there is nothing and the agreement has broken down. Carvajal spent 13 seasons at Real Madrid, winning 27 trophies including six Champions League titles.
