A retired Permanent Secretary in the Osun State Civil Service, Mr Olusola Bolaji, has criticised the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its silence over the abduction of 20 prospective corps members from Oyo State. The prospective corps members were reportedly travelling from Ibadan to their NYSC orientation camps in the South-East and South-South when gunmen attacked their buses in Imo State. Bolaji said the NYSC should demonstrate greater concern for the safety and welfare of the affected graduates. The incident has raised concerns among families and prompted calls for urgent efforts to secure their release.
