The House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts has commenced a probe into the N632 billion debt owed by the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) to the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC). The committee, chaired by Rep. Bamidele Salam, issued a three-week ultimatum for the debt to be addressed. The probe is part of legislative efforts to ensure accountability in the power sector.
