The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has called on the Federal Government to increase workers' salaries immediately without waiting for a new minimum wage review. TUC President Comrade Festus Osifo stated that the government could raise federal workers' pay to between N200,000 and N400,000 independently. He emphasized that the minimum wage should be a floor, not a ceiling, allowing employers to pay above the statutory minimum. The TUC made this known during a briefing in Abuja after its National Administrative Executive Council meeting.
