The Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, has claimed that the South-East did not benefit from any federal project during his previous political career until the administration of President Bola Tinubu. Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, Umahi listed ongoing federal projects in the region as evidence of the Tinubu administration's commitment. He acknowledged that the South-East may not rank among the top regions in project volume but said it is no longer at the bottom. Umahi's remarks highlight the government's efforts to integrate the region into national development.
