Flight Lieutenant I.S. Bako was one of 25 people killed in Tuesday's Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Igbokoda, Ondo State. The aircraft, with registration number NAF 931, was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when it crashed into swamps in Ilaje Local Government Area. According to the Nigerian Air Force, 25 people were on board, comprising five crew members and 20 passengers, and no survivor was found. Bako's partner, Joanna Yakubu, mourned him in a social media post, recalling their last conversation in which he said he was travelling to Abuja but did not indicate he would not return.
