Chastest Consult Limited has launched LGA Connect Nigeria, a civic and commerce platform that unites all 774 Local Government Areas across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory into a single digital ecosystem. The platform, available on web and mobile, enables Nigerians at home and abroad to find their home LGA, interact in indigenous languages, transact securely, and engage with local council leadership. It aims to address the low online visibility of local governments and the lack of structured coordination for an estimated 17 million Nigerians in the diaspora who remit billions of dollars annually. The launch was announced this week.
