EFCC Executive Chairman Ola Olukoyede said that appropriate policies and regulations can curb cybercrime and financial crimes without relying solely on enforcement. Speaking at the inauguration of the EFCC's Awka Zone in Anambra State, he cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as an example, stating that the policy has drastically reduced cybercrime among young Nigerians who previously engaged in such activities to pay school fees. Olukoyede insisted that past experience shows right policies have helped Nigeria combat these crimes.
