TUC Tells FG: Implement N800 to $1 Exchange Rate to Reduce Fuel Price

Trade Union Congress President Festus Osifo called on the federal government to strengthen the Naira to between N700 and N800 to one US Dollar, stating that the high exchange rate is central to rising costs of goods, including petrol pump prices. He spoke at a press conference after the union's National Administrative Council meeting in Abuja. Osifo also urged the government to take decisive steps to end insecurity in the country. He noted that while macroeconomic indicators were improving, more could be done at the microeconomic level.
