Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa visited the site of a recent air crash and said the tragedy could have been worse if the aircraft had crashed directly into Igbokoda community. Eyewitness accounts suggested the pilot manoeuvred the aircraft away from the populated area before it plunged into a swamp about 200 metres from the community. The Nigerian Air Force said search and recovery efforts are ongoing as the operation enters its second day.
