NNPP members defect to SDP in Adamawa

Members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Adamawa State have defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to support its candidate, Christopher Nathaniel, in the 2027 general election. Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Dr. Mustapha Mohammad Abbo said their decision was based on Nathaniel’s proposed policies and political blueprint for the state. Abbo expressed confidence in Nathaniel’s capacity, experience, and connections to move the state forward. The defection was announced during the unveiling of Dr. Fauziyah Ahmed Rufai as the SDP’s deputy governorship candidate, which coincided with the SDP Stakeholders Consultative Open Joint Session Meeting.
